I'm really happy this is the Friday poll question, because I'm eager to boast about this. :) With the assistance of a very talented producer, I created a Valentine's Day promotion for our country station that integrates Facebook into it. The morning show producer posted a status update on Feb. 8, asking for people to post in comments reasons what they want for Valentine's Day. The comment with the most "likes" receives a prize package that includes a jewelry gift certificate, a restaurant gift certificate, and a vase of roses. If there's a tie, the winner will be selected randomly.

As of 7:35 this morning, the status update about the contest has 71 comments, 69 *likes* and 37 shares. :)

Nothing too exciting here in Aberdeen. We are giving away several Valentine Bouquets to listeners who call in when a certain love song is played; and one caller will receive flowers, dinner for two, limo service for the night and a hot tub suite at a local hotel.

In the past, we have done a "Stupid Cupid" promotion where listeners called in to tell us about the dumbest Valentine's Day present that they gave or received.  We put them on-line and encouarged listeners to go on-line and vote for the stupidest gift and that person won flowers, candy, dinner for two, etc. It was a fun contest that created some fun talk.  I wonder why we didn't do it this year?

For the last week, we have been airing an arrow shooting sfx + a harp sound three times per day.  The third caller is entered into a drawing to win........Dinner for two at the best restaurant in town - flowers - candy and...........

We have a local vineyard (actually located conveniently near the station).  It's Treehouse vineyards.  Google them, they have a beautiful website.  They have two treehouses - one they rent out for the weekend and the other by the hour !  Ha!  So, our winner also gets two hours in the treehouse - a bottle of wine and a wine tasting at their wine bar.

We made very little dollars on this, but sounds cool over the air.........

We just finished up, today, qualifying listeners for a "Valentine's Day Getaway".

Overnight stay in a suite at a local resort, 4 passes to on site waterpark, dinner for 2, dozen roses and diamond pendant from local jewler.

Took 5th caller when they heard "Cupid's Arrow", qualifier was $20 GC to local restaurant.

GP drawing and anouncement on Monday.

We are running a "Kiss This" promotion where people call in to a phone line with their best sounding kiss. The best 25 kisses win a $25 gift certificate to a local office supply store and the grand prize winner receives a romantic dinner for two at an Italian restaurant, one night stay at a luxury in and a one hour limo ride.
