I don't have all the details because unfortunately I wasn't with the station at the time but a while back we did a Mall Dollars promotion where we did a remote broadcast and called it a .69 cent dollar. At the broadcast booth shoppers would buy 69 cent dollars and use them in participating retailers in the mall. Basically another way to have a 30% off sale but it was a unique and creative way to say it, and it was a great success.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Jon! We actually do it in one of our markets - we pay a third-party company who has a Canadian copyright on the .69 Cent Dollar, but in that market we sell it to clients throughout the city. Adapting it to a Mall in this market makes sense... I'll pass the idea on to the rep. If you ever want specific information on the .69 cent dollar, let me know and I'll have the Sales Manager from that market send it to you! P.
