We've done both the live show and on-line. Here are some things to watch out for:   30% off is great as long as someone else is not doing 50%. Don't reduce prices just to meet monthly budget. Have your own secure, shopping cart so all…

Jack Walker replied to Rebecca Schwartz's discussion 'Friday Poll: How Often Do You Voice Your Clients' Ads?'
I write almost all of my clients' copy so I'll voice about 50% because I know exactly how I want it to sound and my voice is not on the air much. I do no VO expect for my clients. The remaining 50% is split equally between the client doing…

Look at the audience your reach where the signal is clear and if that audience is important to the client they will consider buying it. Often, we use US Census data to point out how many people are in that area and ask how many people in that…

I have a property management company that has run a very aggressive campaign the last 4 years. Our call to action is always the same "call Sarah Sue today". Sarah Sue is the owner of the company. We never use her last name and most people…

Jack Walker replied to Camerin O'Leary's discussion 'What Businesses'
It's all about message with HVAC companies, so we really focused on "why would I do business with you today vs your competitor?" The answer was not price. There is almost always co-op avalilable too, although you may have to do the…

I use the station call letters. There's no sense beating around the bush. I want to talk with them about building their biz on radio.

We offer a 10% discount for the annual contract paid in advance. We also offer a 5% monthly discount if we have a cc and run that card in advance of the following month's schedule. We run all the cards on the 15th of the month to…

Jack Walker replied to Bill O'Reed's discussion 'How do you make your Satellite programmed station more "Local"?'
Local news coverage is a great way to stand apart from the competition.   We used to have one of our stations on satellite but after looking at the lost inventory opportunities we determined we could increase net income by $120,000 by…

We sell that particular sports package for $600.00.

Hi Jack- you asked how much we sold our sports packages for...single season sponsorship is $65 per game when you buy the entire season, $70 to hand pick games. Each sponsorship comes with 2 :30 second commercials. Features are anywhere from $75-$90 per game depending on what the feature is. Our booster package is a flat fee for the entire year-no negotiations on this one. Again, anywhere from $300-$600 per month. If they take the minimum package with not all sports included it's $300. If they take every sporting event we offer it's $600. Hope this helps!
