Jenna,
Great advice and some real key points that stress the #1 objective of our sellers, servicing their customers, and that starts with LISTENING to business owners' challenges.
Great stuff, thanks for sharing!

This is to Ashley---but the site is not letting me respond down there-Specifically--how would you call and "state your name casually and ask for them as if you are a friend or client". I've felt that if I am too vague they will ask…

Jenna... I have been so darn busy putting a new radio station on the air in the west metro area of St. Louis, I just have ignored the radio cafe. Shouldn't have done that, but here I am. I'm interested in getting info as to what you could do to help us with our new station. Find it on-line at www.westplexradio.com We've really taken off, but need to establish annual contracts. We have 2 high vis billboards up, along with lots of community involvement.
I send out a radio sales tip newsletter called The Jingle Of The Week. May I send you a copy? If you'd like to receive the free sales tips, just send me back your email address!

Jenna,
Have you ever worked with Wolfe Media? They do in market seminar style events, but they don't come visit and they target segments of the market instead of general businesses.
talk to you soon,

Things are lookin' up! Last Saturday, one of our local car dealers sold fourteen new and used vehicles during one of our stations broadcasts! Another car dealer is having a tent sale this week, and from Monday Open to COB Wednesday, they had sold twenty-one units! That is very encouraging.
Hangin' in there, Jenna. Finding that advertisers are very nervous about committing long-term these days. And when they do, it is about 75% less than the average monthly as in years past. Selling new people and much more cold calling is a survival must. Today's environment is not for those who like 'comfort zones.'
Good....lots of changes for the good. Amy and Bruce have really made Backyard in this area sound and look great. We have a great team and were #1 in 2008 in the Backyard Corporation. Yeah!
