Mark "Edge" Edgington replied to Rebecca Schwartz's discussion 'Friday Poll: Have You Ever Turned Down a Sale for Ethical Reasons?'
"I have a nationally syndicated program and one time a white supremacy group wanted to advertise on our website. Obviously, we said no. My partner and I are management and the talent and everything else. So no problem there. "

Mark "Edge" Edgington replied to Rebecca Schwartz's discussion 'Friday Poll: How Do You Politely Disengage from a Long-winded Client?'
"I can't say that I do this every time, but I have certainly done it in the past. I keep my cell phone on my hip and usually on vibrate. I have gotten an imaginary call or appointment and said "Oops! I have to go.""

Mark "Edge" Edgington replied to Rebecca Schwartz's discussion 'Friday Poll: What Features Do You Like & Would Like to See on RSC?'
"I like hearing everyone's take on common industry problems.   I would like to see more of a focus on National Advertisers, how to reach them, and which do local, regional and national."

Initial Post

I'm not sure if it is going to be profitable to join a group of Ad Execs, but I am one. So I joined.

I work for the radio show Free Talk Live. FTL is a nationally syndicated show on 46 stations from Yakima, Washington to Miami, Florida. It has been voted the #1 Political Podcast for 4 years running.

Hi Mark, small world. I worked with Big Jim after he left clear channel and landed in Vero Beach, FL as our GM. He's a GREAT guy and a real asset to the broadcasting industry. I also worked in Keene when WXOD & WKBK was owned by Scott Roberts. I hear 98.7 is now country, we were Oldies back when I was there. Have a nice Labor Day weekend!
