Les Patterson’s Monday Morning Boost: Thoughts of inspiration

  • Inspiration comes in different ways for different people. One source of inspiration for my family and me is General Conference, a worldwide gathering for Mormons to listen to the general leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I share today a few thoughts which inspired me from General Conference this past weekend. I hope you’ll find value, no matter your walk of life.

“Smile. This small action can help those who are overwhelmed or burdened.” – Hugo Montoya

“When you cannot do what you’ve always done, then you only do what matters most." – David A. Bednar

“Small efforts sustained over time can produce significant results.” – Devin G. Durrant

“None of us marry perfection. We marry potential.” – Robert D. Hales

“There are two important days in a woman’s life: The day she is born and the day she finds out why.” – Rosemary M. Wixom

“Do not give up! Never give up!” – James B. Martino

“There is no darkness so dense, so menacing, or so difficult that it cannot be overcome by light.” – Vern P. Stanfill

“With the darkness of doubt… we choose how long and to what extent we let it influence us.” – Vern P. Stanfill

“It is not only the prenatal carrying but the lifelong carrying that makes mothering such a staggering feat.” – Jeffrey R. Holland

“It will all work out.” – Neill F. Marriott

“Self-control is like a muscle. The more you use it the stronger it gets.” – Quentin L. Cook

“We need to make a conscientious effort to devote our energy and time to the things that truly matter.” – Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Have a great Monday. Thanks for letting me share!

p.s. Take 13 minutes today to allow yourself to be inspired, whether from these thoughts or other sources.
