Is Your Community Doing a Shop Local Promotion?

In the past week, I've come across several creative "shop local" promotions, designed to help area businesses as they reopen:

In Carpentersville, Illinois, "Any homeowner who spends a minimum of $200 at qualifying retail or service shops and $100 at local restaurants through July 31 will be eligible for a $50 credit on a future water bill." - Daily Herald (Click here for the full article.)

A lakeside Michigan town held a "Shop Charlevoix Day" with a $50 Chamber check as an incentive. (Click here for story.)

The Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the "Second Saturday Shop Hop" in Galion, Ohio, throughout the summer. (Click here for article.)

Is your community planning a special event or promotion to drive traffic to area businesses? Is your radio station participating in or organizing the event? We'd love to hear about it!
