    Happy Friday, everyone!

Yesterday, Radio Ink published The Secret to Being a Great Salesperson, an article written by Carol Commander, Director of Sales for Tidewater Communications in Chesapeake, VA and a 2020 Radio Ink Radio Wayne Winner. Ms. Commander points out how even in a pandemic, radio advertising sales is a great career, and she gives ten tips for succeeding as a radio salesperson. It's a good article to share with your team.

So for this week's poll question, we'd like to know:

What do you believe is the secret to being a great radio salesperson?

Looking forward to reading your replies!

I think the secret is truly putting the client first. If push comes to shove, I'm not putting the station first and I'm not putting myself first. My client always has first place and my loyalty because that is really what is best for me and best for the station even when it doesn't appear to be.  All I have is my integrity. I want my client to know I have their best interests in mind and that they can trust my words. Once you earn that spot, you are in the inner circle and only you or your station can mess that up.
