Thanks to Gordon Sanders of KJFM Radio in Louisiana, Missouri, for sharing with us a nifty promotion he put together for May: “The Mother of All Gift Baskets.”
Since Teacher Appreciation Week, Nurses Week, and Mother’s Day all occur in May, Gordon decided it would be more effective to salute all three groups with one big promotion rather than putting together individual promotions. Listeners would nominate a nurse, teacher, or mother to receive the giant gift basket (a very deluxe one, so big that it required two people to carry out!).
The promotion grossed $5750 (he estimated that $750 probably went to the contents of the basket), so it was a significant addition to his May billing.

We run a "Prize Vault" throughout the year that merchants contribute items to regularly and we shop locally to round things out, depending on the prize/contest.
