I was watching an interesting reality TV series called The Pitch the other night (It's on AMC in the US I think and on Sky Atlantic in the UK).
It's where two creative advertising agencies compete for a big client and they show the behind-the-scenes preparations and processes leading to the all-important pitch meeting.
One of the ad agency bosses on this week's episode came out with a great line which applies equally to radio promotions people and that I wanted to share with you:-
"Doing something people will remember is not enough; you've got to do something they will never forget".

Today, it’s a pitiful state that a lot of agencies are simply satisfied with their cash registers ringing and look at work through business perspective and are not inclined towards exploring newer ideas; they play ‘safe’.
