    RSC Members,

This Week's Tip: It's time to Get Your Library On The Books ... Here's how:

Your Local Library First Annual Student Film Festival will be all it takes to crack this account. Local Library Systems have limitless funding in the form of Local, State and Federal Grants. Your Library Executive Director will jump at the idea of promoting original film productions from local High School and College Students in your market.

The Films - which can be in the categories of animation, commercial, documentary, full feature, news, sports short, public announcement, short feature, experimental, and music video -should be no longer than 20 minutes. The festival's judging panel should be comprised of local film media educators, artists, librarians and various film industry enthusiasts. Judging criteria should be based on several factors including originality, editing, audio quality and whether the film achieves its stated goal.

The Library Student Film Festival is the perfect way to wrap up the School year and the Sub-Sponsorship opportunities are endless. Don't forget to pitch Sub-Sponsorships to Banks, Auto Dealers, Chamber of Commerce, Your Cultural and Heritage Commission, Rotary Clubs and Kiwanis Clubs. All this idea needs is a little, "Action!"
