This is my first ever discussion here so I'll start with a short presentation of myself:
My name is Stan (short from Stanislav), living and working as a Sales Manager in a local radio station in Bulgaria. I believe that there are a few Bulgarians here, that follow all the news, but haven't seen them posting. I've been working nearly 6 years now in different stations in the country and I'm always interested in the newest trends in radio, sales and stuff. If some of you ever travel to my part of the world don't hesitate to stop by.
Now my question:
We are trying to develop a mobile app for our radio. It's getting very popular now in Bulgaria. Most of the station have a mobile iPhone/Android app already but they only use it to stream the radio and maybe some artist info.
We were presented the Commotion digital system - wall, mobile app, ads push. It gives plenty of features to the hosts, to the listeners and, also very important, gives you push advertisements and specials to sell to your customers. It combines all the communication from your website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, on air, e-mails, SMS and IM in one "wall". The users login via Facebook profiles.
I've been looking for stations that use this product but I've found one or two. Does your station use a mobile app? Have you tried Commotion? What is your opinion about it? Is it reliable enough? Every information will be of use guys.
