for the past 10 or more years we've run a birthday game. We have a computer that random calls out a month and then a date. If the person calls within a minute to the contest line they win the jackpot. We start with $10 and it goes up 10 each morning it's not won. Rules are it can only be won ONCE. Listener must call for themselves and that includes dialing the phone, Like all contests, 18 and up. After 10 years the jackpot seldom goes above $50. Before the economy crashed we would have checks for 10 or 20 dollars that would not be picked up. Now its 2 or 3 days and gone. The random date will give you a Feb 31st so we just hit the button again. If you give them more than a minute to call, it's enough time for someone to call a friend to say they just heard their birthday.
I got the idea from an "Associate" at WalMart. Kid worked in radio in Arkansas but took a job stocking shelves at Wally cause it paid more. By now he could be doing 200G a year as a manager. WallMart pays well here. not because they're generous but because the drug problem is so bad anybody who can pass the test can do better than min wage
