    Happy Friday, everyone!

Here is this week's poll question:

How many niche events* does your station produce or play an instrumental role in each year, and what are they?  Which category or categories have been your most successful?

*By "niche event," we mean something like a home and garden expo, bridal fair, ski swap, gun show, big boys toys event, technology fair, job fair, farm show, etc.

Looking forward to reading your replies!

Twice a year (once in spring and again in the fall) we do an event called Big Boys Toys that draws about 15,000 people from our small town of only 50,000 people. It is basically hot rods, off road vehicles, new trucks and cars, boats, dragsters, motorcycles, guns and anything else that goes fast.We even created a section called "Ladies Lane" for the women.

While it is a great event it does seem to eat up a ton of man power to put the event on. Not sure if we will continue doing it. But we do sponsor at least 20 or more events a year in Mohave County. At the end of the day it seems to be more advantages to simply sponsor these events.

We produce two and are major players in at least three others. We do a cost/benefit analysis for each event and in mist cases are better off doing the event ourselves unless we have a really strong partner.
