I just got a personal trainer to come aboard for some radio advertising. Gonna run some standard 15 and 30's but thinking of possibly trying to run a contest between 3 other "trainers" with different "gyms" for a 12 week promotional contest. any ideas welcome! Thanks and  Happy Thanksgiving all!

Not sure what you are thinking but if the contest is between the trainers, you are setting 2 up to lose and that's not a good idea.

Thanks for the reply Jan... Just trying to get some feedback on anyone else dealing with personal trainers as clients. I agree with your comment, that I would be setting 2-3 other trainers to lose. Like I said, just wanting some ideas with anyone with prior experience dealing with personable trainers.

Agree 100% with Jan. However, the very presence of one trainer on the air may spur one of the others to spend some money with you.

You could do a Biggest Loser for weight loss or another specific measurabe goal.  We did Biggest Loser with one trainer and 3 contestants.  They weighed in on air every Monday and the trainer either stopped in for updates or gave them to on air to talk about.  6 weeks. It went well. The gym was new and part of the objective was of course to raise awareness of the gym, gym kocation and the trainer's skills.  Getting participants was part of the promotion, soliciting on air. It can be tough because as a contestant, you become pretty... visiible. You could do it with the contestants never actually identified by name.

With multiple trainers, each assigned to one person for the weight loss you could involve several trainers.  The win or loss is not as much on the the trainer that way as on the contestant. So the exposure for the trainer if he/she loses is not necessarily as negative.
