Voicemail Results Part 1 Of 2

    This Week's Sales Tip: InsideSales.com released a report last week that sheds new light on Voicemail and how to get results from your prospecting efforts. Lets take a look at their findings in Part 1 of this 2 Part Series.

    InsideSales.com reports some interesting stats on telephone prospecting: 80% of all calls go to Voicemail and 90% of first-time Voicemail messages are never returned. Average sales reps make between 1.7 and 2.1 attempts to reach a prospect before they give up. Finally, a well crafted Voicemail message can improve response rates by 3% to 22%.

    Follow up Voicemail messages with an email with the subject line: Voicemail. Email open rates increase dramatically with this subject line because clients want to be sure they didn't miss anything. Create the very best Voicemail and Email messages you can and use them over and over again. Every actor who ever won an Oscar used a well crafted script.
