Does it make sense to rent a radio station from someone who leases the station already? Trying to get ahead, and make a living for me and my family, and radio is a part of me, that I can't give up. Small market radio does have potential, and I have a lot to bring to the radio world where I am from. Does it work? Would it work? Can it work?

    Please help with this!!

    Thanks!

Start with a lawyer who you trust who also has an understanding of the Radio World; an FCC attorney; expensive but worth it in a situation like this. My first thought is that you would want to get the current "leasee" out of the picture and work directly with the owner; but that is a question for the lawyer.

Get EVERYTHING in writing.  The real key is who controls the License of course.

I'm sure it COULD work; but BE CAREFUL and Good Luck! Our Industry sure needs people like you!
