Hello all of you AWESOME Radio Folks! Our Station is looking for a fresh, new idea for a local transportation company...and we need it fast! Here's the scoop...we are on the Olympic Peninsula in the State of Washington. This company provides pre-arranged and reserved transportation to and from the Seattle Area...including the SEATAC Airport....they are very accomodating and friendly.

They like humor....but I am really looking to bring a fresh...new idea to the table! I am open to all of your suggestions! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Try the "move of the day." 2 great front row seats to any show / concert / event are reserved on behalf of the limo company. Right before the show starts, someone in the cheap seats gets to be "transported (the Star Trek teleporter sound effect is cool to use with this announcement) to the best seats in the house, compliments of the client. Client buys schedule that includes the cost of the tickets of course!

How about doing a special new year's party bus to Seattle. You may be able to tie in a Seattle venue to provide dinner/entertainment as well. The station could giveaway seats on the bus or give the bus trip to one person as a special way to gather friends to ring in the new year. The promotion would help the transportation company highlight their services in a fun way

    Jody -

Mind if I ask a few questions?

Who are the client's best prospects/customers - top three, say. Business commuters? Travelers/tourists?

How often do their best customers use the bus/shuttle service? Why do they prefer your client?

Who's the competition - another bus service? Private transportation, car pooling?

What's been the client's message on radio in the past? How's it worked for them?

Be glad to share anything useful that may come to mind after learning a little about your client and their customers.

    Best,

    Rod

    Jody,
Our Rockford IL Group launched a huge on line and on air campaign for the local transportation company. They shot a video that aired on a couple of the radio stations websites on how easy it is to use the public transportation. One of the local on air DJ's went out and shot video of how to get to and from a certain destination, how you pay & what your options are, and how safe it is to ride. The video was a 4 minute video. On the websites, there was a promotional banner with a link to watch the video and a map of the cities transportation pick up locations. The results were huge. The client said that they had an increase of 30% because of this campaign. There were :15 second commercials airing on the stations to promote people to watch the video on the websites. If you have any more questions please call me at 419-331-1600.
