I have a local Ford dealer that needs traffic and sales now. I am looking for an idea for February that will generate excitement and car sales... Thanks for the help!

If you have some sort of attraction or event, offer a test drive incentive. The only way they get the tickets is to test drive a new Ford at XYZ dealer. I've done this in the past with great results.

Susan, Ford, the brand, has been associated with a few bright spots on the automotive landscape recently. Their nearly $1billion profit in Q3 last year was a pleasant surprise (remember, they did not take government bailout money), and at the International Auto Show in Detroit earlier this month they took both Car and Truck of the Year awards. One would think your dealer would want to hitch his wagon to the parent company's recent successes.

Thank you for your idea.. We have done many events and test drive incentive's with auto dealers in the past. What we are hearing from dealers is that most of the people that do this for the prize are not in the market to buy a car and many are just prize only people.. sales people complain that this approch is a waste of time.

At KSPA, here's what we are offering. For Ford, GM and Chrysler dealers. For each spot they run, we will match it with a :10 promo saying that So-And-So Ford is proud to sell American automobiles. (Or words to that effect.)
