This is the third and final installment of a series of poll questions on the topic of radio station websites.

The first week's questions addressed who creates and maintains your station's website.

The second week's questions dealt with the content on your station's website.

Finally, this week's questions address the issue of advertising on your station's website, specifically:

    1) Do you sell advertising on your website?  If so, is it as part of a radio ad buy or separate from it?

    2) Is your website mainly for advertisers, mainly for listeners, or equally for both?

Looking forward to reading your replies!

Our stations each have their own branded web site and they are one of the ways we communicate with listeners and the general public. Our Facebook and Twitter links are on these website, as Facebook esp. is probably going to replace the website, where communication with listeners is concerned. We do sell several types of ads on our web sites, either with radio or without, however, sales in this area has diminished since we started doing this three years ago. I believe we need a seperate sales person(s) for the interactive side of our business. What are some of the rest of you doing?

Our web sites carry ads that are sold on their own (non broadcast revenue..). Some ads however are for our top advertisers (Gold Key) who get everything we have at no additional cost (These people spend $944 per week, 52 weeks)

Yes we sell advertising on our website. We sell several different ways. Any salesperson can add it to their proposal however we also have a separate sales person just for the web....(he also does sports). Our website is for all! We are currently getting over 2 million hits per month. To check it out go to www.ksidradio.com.
