Hi guys,
First post here, but loving the forum and the suggested ideas from lots of members!
I have got an appointment next week with a new surf shop that has opened locally. They stock boards, wet suits, clothing for male and females and they have a surf cafe attached.
I dont want to just go to them with a standard airtime, so any suggestions on anything more exciting? It's the first time I've dealt with a shop like this.
Thanks in advance!

Tom:
My first thought was to see if your website could feature a short video from them. Maybe demonstrating how to ride a board, or pick one that's best for each individual. Something that will encourage non-surfers to check it out, and see that this is the shop with the pro's who can get you started on the waves the right way.
You may even want to get them to put your morning show on a board live, in the ocean, and have play by play on the air. This can be fun for the listner to cheer for and eventually see themselves doing it. Rationale: "If my morning radio buddies can do it, so can I." type of thing.
Good luck!

Neil,
Thats a great idea, doing something visual like that will be great so people can get a 'taster' of what might be involved.
Thanks for your help, I'll let you know how I get on!
Cheers!

You may want to air an ad that has nothing but the sound of waves lapping at the shore and seagulls circling over head. End it with, "This moment of Zen was brought to you by _______ Surf Shop and Cafe. Experience it yourself at (address)."

Thats really imaginative! I like the idea of that!
