A new Thai restaurnat is opening in town and I really want to pitch a cool competition to him to give the opening a wow factor!

Anyone worked with Thai Restaurants before?

    Thanks!

How about having men and women show up on a specific evening with ties (Thai) on! "We'll show you our Thai if you show us your tie". Have a couple of local celebrities including the restaurant owner as judges and at a set time to judge all the ties and the winner gets 1 meal a week for 52 weeks (costs the restaurant almost nothing and the winner will likely bring a paying person with them when they come in to collect their free meal) That should pack the place and make for great photos for your station website and the restaurant site if they have one.

Try a "Top-Chef" or "Iron-Chef" style competition. Who can do the best Thai noodle stir-fry? Maybe bring in a secret or featured ingredient. Could sell tickets that also buy dinner for customers. And don't forget to award a grand prize! Consider if you want "professional" or amateur Chefs - and consider insurance liability in case there is an accident in the kitchen.
