A regional grocer with 19 locations in our listening area recently changed agencies. The annual avail now requires added value in the form of promotions, on air contest, sponsorship, etc. Must be absolutly turn-key. Anyone have a "fresh" idea to share?

    Thanks!  Amy

We do a "Summer Celebration" on air when we give away a gas grill and a $50 gift certificate from a local grocery store so they winner can buy what the/she needs for a barbeque. We also give away a gift certificate
every Monday for week's worth of food..."Stocking the Pantry"..it has worked well!

Look up on the RAB website at the calendar. There's dairy week, beef month, grilling month, etc. There's even a Julia Child's appreciation month.

For grilling month, the grocer could give away an ultimate grill package: grill, charcoal/gas, meat, dessert mixes, coolers, drinks, etc. Anything you need to get a good grill party for 50 together. You could even volunteer to have a DJ at the winner's grill party do all the work like the grilling while broadcasting.
