    I need an idea for a promotion, either short or long term for the introduction of a new "hand-tossed" pizza crust for a pizza chain with about three locations in our area.

    Multi-Location Remote-
    have the station at all three locations (if possible) from 6p-8p on a Friday. Game of Chance for possible prizes (two free large, $10 BOG, free large 2-liter w/order, station shirt, CD) Open to the first 50/100/station frequency people to register. They toss a frisbee, baked crust, discus to qualify for the chance to win. Grand prize is Pizza for a Year - one free medium 1-topping, per week for 52 weeks.

    Design a pie-
    entrants go to customer or station site - submit a "recipe" from the available ingredients list. the customer chooses the top 5 - listeners vote for the best one - customer features the new "design" at a discount for the month - winning "designer" gets free pizza for a year (see previous)

    Dlivery-Driver-Demolition-Derby
    Listeners qulaify to participate in a "race series" by racing at all three location - 3 consecutive weeks. parking cones and pizza-themed pitfalls (sauce swamp, crust cavern) act as obstacles. It is a timed-course, on a tricylce or a pogo-stick. Top 3 finishers from each location go to "finals" with grand prize of pizza for a year.

    How High Can you Toss?

    Can be done at one or all locations. Qualifiers register at each location (to give them a reason to go to the location-the client should love that, hoping they'll order while they are there). Choose x number of qualifiers and have a toss off in the parking lot. Pizza for a year as prize, t shirts, etc.

    Here goes...
    Schedule 3 remotes...one per day for 3 days.....at each seperate location. During the remote times only (from 1-3p after the lunch rush) on each day, the client will give away one slice of the new pizza to each person who comes (one per person only). You Stamp or X their hands to weed out grazers...lol. This will create traffic to each location driving additional sales at each location. Customers will buy drinks and other food items when they come. Make them come inside the building, have a designated free pizza line for traffic flow and have plenty of staff on hand to direct traffic out the door if a line forms. Make sure to accomodate paying customers (some customers want service and not free and will leave if not attended to). The promotion will get customers trying the new pizza and will build good will in the community...make sure to position it like that to the client. Don't let the client run out of pizza, this would be not be good for the client or the station. If you sell multiple stations, use one station per day during the campaign. Advertise the event for 2 weeks before it happens with a 4 frequency 2 weeks before and a 5 frequency the week before. Run recorded and live promos and a few 10 or 15 second reminders on all stations involved the day before and the day of the event. If you have a website, put a tile or banner with link to their website promoting the 3-Day (name of new pizza) Pizza Giveaway at (Client)! Get ready for success.....a happy client, a happy community and good billing in one month.

    Get a karaoke machine and let listeners come out and "sing for their supper"

    Ask listeners to come try the new pizza and come up with their own slogan that might be used in a local campaign in the listeners own words and voice to describe the crust...
