I am extremely new to searching for political dollars on any level and could use some serious help, advise, or any guidance anyone has to offer! I know it is late in the game, but I'm going to try! thanks.

You have to be very careful as political is probably the most regulated of all radio advertising. Understand what your Lowest Unit Rate is. Is is flat or based on a daypart grid? Do you have copies of the NAB form?
If you are only trying to get the candidates you like you could be in trouble. Accept everybody. Remember you cannot edit their copy. remember that Every candidate gets the 15% discount. But the Candidate's voice must be on the spot. If some other group is running spots to endorse the candidate, they pay rate card. Also, propositions or initiatives pay rate card.
And everybody pays cash up front.
