    Hello all,

Looking for new training ideas for our sales staff. Ideas that engage reps and let them leave the room charged up and ready to hit the ground running.

    Thanks

Good luck with that! My idea isnt really a training but more of an exercise we did one time that was very profitable for us. We were having an off month and were having a meeting to discuss our options, what everyone had pending, etc. At this point, management left the room, giving us 10 minutes to come up with our own "package" or "promotion" and then we have to SELL it to management. We came up with what we all felt was a very good marketing tool for our clients. Management approved it and it created some excitement because we created it and it was something we knew we could sell.. versus management just handing us something and saying--here sell! Still to this day we sell this "package" to our clients.

Hi Trev, I just attended a wonderful seminar at the Alaska Broadcaster's Association convention in Anchorage by Bryan Dodge. You may not be able to afford to have a seminar with him, but he has video and audio available on his website www.bryandodge.com. The seminar was called "Building a Better You" and it was all about building a better salesperson. It was really fun, engaging and motivating. I would also recommend Paul Weyland as another great training resource. Hope that helps. Have a wonderful weekend! Julie Slanaker KFMJ 99.9 FM
