Anybody remember this?

A friend of mine who worked at KALL radio in Salt Lake City back in the 80s heard a great story while at a sales seminar about a radio sales guy who helped a video store owner move his inventory by running a radio campaign that offered free rentals to customers who picked videos up at the old store and returned them to the new one. The story is a classic. But now I need to track down the person who told that story for a book I'm writing. Friend can't remember the source. Shot in the dark. But does it ring any bells?

    Chris,

I told that story about the video store at a RAB Managing Sales Conference some years back.

Ohmygosh! Talk about lucky. I am so surprised and glad to hear from you.

My friend Ed remembered your first name and many of your ideas he has held on to over the years -- must have made quite the impression.

If it's okay, I'll call you soon to follow up. Thanks for responding so quickly!

That's great! I love radio people for just this reason. Lol
