Transition from Internet to FM - A whole new world

I have been broadcasting, by default, an internet based community radio station for just over 2 years. We were approached to have our content additionally broadcasted on a regional FM station. Our true strength was content creation that drove listeners to our internet broadcasts. But now.....

    What a quick learning curve!

CRTC regulations, CANCON (does any one know of a tested database of music), and a new level of proffessionalism to truely serve our Community.

What we once delivered quickly and roughly, now is no longer acceptable. New higher standards. New levels of accountability. You proffessionals know what I am talking about.

Even what I call my jingles and station IDs are taking 10x longer to create and produce.

I am very pleased to find this site. From many different directions it is a new source of HOW TO. Our many thanks to those who helped deliver and mold this site.

From a sales perspective, I am only wondering aloud, would it benefit your clients to have their ads heard in a different Region.... Hotels, Destinations, Events, or unique products or services....we would be open to this discusion.

Additionally, we have been producing a series of unique contests from trivia and a form of name that tune, and several others that could be re-branded for your use. The idea is to create a contact list from participants that you could then send offers to for your advertising clients.

Those are just a few thoughts....any comments would be appreciated....
