How Strong Is Your Belief In Radio?

Seems like a silly question on a site focused on radio but I have to say, I'm continually surprised by the lack of belief in the power of radio that I hear from owners, managers and sales reps. If we do not believe in the power of radio to do the job, how can we expect our clients to find the budget to make radio work for them?

    Jeff,

Not such a silly question.  I talk to area reps who have little belief in what they do.  They have a job, not a career.  With so many options available today you better be confident in radio or you will have a very hard time selling or becoming that trusted advisor.

This is a very strong business!  Things are changing everyday, but that's what makes it great!

And yes I would say that my belief is as strong as the "Weapons of Choice".  I preach those same differences daily.

Great question....and a reminder that a manager's first sale is to the sales staff.
We need to stress our successes more...with good clients as guest merchants at sls mtgs, on-air, video and written testimonials.
Belief in radio is demonstrated by a strong collection policy, asking for the entire marketing budget and continually up selling ...there is no point of diminishing return with adv. more ads work better than less.

I have seen it work too many times to ever be convinced it doesn't...... when it is used in the right way!!! We have to be constantly teaching our staff and clients the art of effective marketing including message, frequency, and consistency. The "Spray and Pray" method needs to DIE, folks!!
