Selling ads for sponsored radio show

I'm going to be hosting a weekly 1-hour sports talk show, and am looking for tips on how to make things go as smoothly as possible.

The station is providing me with a producer & engineer, and they will plug my show throughout the week.  They also have 24-hour online streaming.

My biggest concern is selling ads.  My cost will be $150 per week.  The sales manager suggested I sell 60-second spots at $30 each.  I'm just looking to cover my costs, so 5 paid spots per week would cover it.  I can either do live reads or produce my commercials at home and submit to the station as .mp3 files that they can play during breaks.

What days & times are most attractive to potential sponsors?  I've been given the choice of Saturday morning/midday or Wednesday night.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Saturday mornings will be much more sale-able than any night.  Go for that time.

We find that Saturday 10a-3p is prime inventory.
