Im new at on line sales and im trying to get it all together here, I have a question, can some one please tell me , for example on a web site like lets say walmart or cocacola, it gives me the contact info, and media contact for press, where do I actually find their marketing contact info, can some one please point me in the right direction , thank you.
In almost all cases, a company like Coca-Cola will require you to contact their agency of record to market a media product. And it's pretty tough to break through cold. You would need to build relationships with the agency's media buyers and make a solid case for why your media product should be in their mix. If you sell them on it, they'll sell their clients on it as well.
In the mean time, go after smaller clients that buy direct. You will be able to close those deals faster and will get the selling experience you would need to stand tall in a board room.
If I were to guess by your name, you perhaps serve either a bilingual or Spanish-speaking market, correct? If so, you should key in on that feature. The US Spanish speaking population is huge and growing, and these companies are working feverishly to reach out to them. If you are offering a strong media property with significant Spanish-speaking/Hispanic-culture reach, you may have a much easier time closing a deal.
Thank you for your reply and yes it is a Spanish radio station.
While it may make sense to go after the big boys, you will close more business helping smaller companies compete with the giants. Smaller companies are in a position of having to compete or die. Often, they need help figuring it out.
