Radio Data System RDS How does it work?

    Hi!

    I was just wondering if you Radio Ad Gurus knew how RDS works at your stations. I see RDS on my car radio and it displays the title and singer/band on the radio screen as you drive along.

    As you know from posts here, I started a company called RingWord mostly for Radio Advertisers to stop yelling numbers at me. I never remember them anyway and I cant write them down while driving.  I'm lame that way.


    Basically, what I'm trying to find out is: Do you set up the Data in the RDS system?

    I was hoping that in addition to broadcasting song titles, smart advertisers could display the RingWord for the ad spots. That way even if they missed the phone number being repeated 3 times, they saw the RingWord and can place the order easily when they get home.
