Have you used RAB or any other CRM?
What about customer management, follow ups, etc,,, does rumple do that?
Whatever you use...keep it simple. Most of the systems are wonderfully complex and the sales people best as working the CRM will be your weakest sales people.
I'm real impressed with Rumple...going to start with it first thing next year on our stations. Simple and easy. Focus on the ask - nothing else really matters.
Good luck.
I have a few things to say on this subject. Before I start know that I am a broadcaster of some 40 years. I am still working in radio, with real stations and real sales people in a small market. I was the developer of parts of the software I am going to recommend (and everyone who is posting here who is part of their software company should identify themselves).
We created Influence.fm. We like to call it an accountability manager. So what does it do?
It keeps track of everything about an account with the salesman just using the calendar, which is a lot like a google calendar. It lets management know when there are problems, like a customer who has not been seen in two months, or a top customer who is not getting special treatment. It allows production from far flung groups to join as one team and tracks all production so there is never a question where it is. It has a searchable copy library of about 100,000 pieces of copy.
I take exception to anyone who claims an organized sales person is the weakest sales person. The resistance to full on CRMs is usually from sales people who are just skipping through and hoping for the best. Beware too of system that just take in the LAST parts of the sale and don't ask the questions that keep a rep in control. They are nothing more than a glorified wish list, call report.
Listen, I have walked the walk for four decades. I can tell you that a good CRM will MAKE a company by helping ownership maximize the value of ever business to the radio company. It will point out people on staff who are sitting on productive accounts. It will help you get sluggish sales people on the street or out the door for good.
If it's NOT about accountability then its nothing more than a wish list.
