    Hello RSC friends!

I recently heard from an acquaintance, who wrote:

I was wondering if you had a second to offer some radio sales advice. My son is out in Los Angeles - Hollywood in particular, and he's interested in applying for a job with either 93.5 K Day or iHeartMedia.

He doesn't have a Bachelor's Degree, and most of his sales experience is in retail. Do you have any suggestions for him on how to approach K Day for an Account Executive opening? His fear is that he'll get lost in all of the applications or rejected because the job descriptions are asking for years of account executive experience. Any advice you can offer, or perhaps people he could talk to out there would be great. Thanks so much.

Also, do you know how to find out what (if any) radio stations are going to be at LA area job fairs? I know that's how I got hired back in the day in radio sales.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated - thank you!

    Rebecca

I'd just walk in, ask for 5 minutes of the local sales manager's time, tell him or her I'd love to work for their station(s), then say how can we make this happen.
