The Accidental Salesperson: How to Take Control of Your Sales Career and Earn the Respect and Income You Deserve

Quite possibly the most highly recommended book on sales for new radio advertising salespeople.

Chris' entrance into radio advertising sales was "accidental" - something many of us can relate to. Like his sales training seminars of old, Chris' book is filled-to-the-gills with practical advice, tips and techniques to help a salesperson become successful sooner. It's not surprising that reviewers at Amazon consistently give The Accidental Salesperson a five-star rating.
From the Amazon book page:  "Lytle gives readers a road map that anyone can use to excel in sales. Lively and entertaining, this somewhat unorthodox guide is packed with thought-provoking axioms, humorous and instructive anecdotes, specific strategies, and powerful tools--everything readers need to master essential lessons in sales and professionalism.  Readers will find there are some things The Accidental Salesperson lacks--dull theories, manipulative methods, and high-pressure tactics. But with the wealth of money-generating, career-building techniques it does provide, we don't think those items will be missed."

I bought this on the RSC's recommendation, and it has changed the way I work for the better.  Highly recommended for new "accidental" salespeople and for those who want a fresh perspective.

Glad you enjoyed it, Don - and thanks for taking time to share your endorsement with our fellow RSC members.

In case you've missed it—there's so much good stuff available in the RSC archives!—here's a link to one of Chris' memorable presentations to radio advertising salespeople, entitled "How to Think on Your Feet Automatically," which he and RAB have given us permission to share.

    Enjoy!
