The Accidental Salesperson by Chris Lytle was the best sales training book that I have ever read for helping a radio sales career.

I actually could not sell back in the 70s until someone turned me on to "You Can Negotiate Anything". It was written by Herb Cohen. It explains the Power of Perception. Once you understand Herb's 3 rules, you can sell anything.

Product DetailsI had the opportunity meet Michael last week. He's ON THE MONEY in this easy-to-read book. http://www.amazon.com/dp/0976647001/ref=asc_df_09766470011745162?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=dealt1-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=0976647001

In the broadcasting industry…it’s not about selling “spots, rates or rankers;” it’s about selling “results.” The Million Dollar Media Rep is an easy to read and easy to reference “how to” book that will help new media reps get started, experienced media reps be more successful and students in the academic world learn more about the business side of the broadcasting industry. It combines great sales strategies, advanced marketing tools and personal development tips to help every media rep reach their full potential.

    Hey Valerie,

I was also going to suggest Chris Lytle's The Accidental Salesperson. It is the single best book I have found that has helped me every single day of my career!
